Dolan Middle School is a City of Stamford Public School. It is located in southwestern Connecticut. Founded in 1948, nestled in a hard-working residential area of  Stamford, Dolan has evolved over the years from a traditional junior high to its more recent middle school curriculum model. Stamford Public Schools is now in the midst of transforming the middle schools. The goal of the Middle School Transformation initiative is to provide a curriculum that is rigorous and standards-based for all students; establish organizational structures that are flexible and that identify, recognize, and advance the strengths of all students; and provide administrators and teachers research-based instructional strategies to meet the needs of all students in the classroom.
